Baked Universe: Giving Ourselves a Voice, Being Loud, and Having Fun.
A Recap:
After launching Baked Potatoes on April 20th and minting out six days later, a whole storm of events have transpired for us as a Baked Community. We first listed on the Bull Society Marketplace, and NFTKey, while about a month later on Galler and PancakeSwap. During this time we held our introductory Cannabis Education Class, which holders can attain a PDF copy of in the Verified Discord Channels where the class was held. We also introduced a new Holder perk that allows our holders to vote on scenarios in newly released pages of our comic series, influencing the outcome and flow of the storyline. We are finding our voice and building our story together as a community! The Classes and Comic Series will be ongoing for Baked Potatoes for a long time to come.
Where We’re At:
The Telegram and Discord group names were changed to “Baked Universe” some time ago now. This was to represent a shift of growth. Baked Potatoes will always be Baked Potatoes, educating others and having a main character in the comic. However with the prowess and passion of our team and community, why should we limit ourselves? Why not give our Potatoes some friends? And why not make this Multi-Verse, Multi-Chain?
Enter stage right, Piffle Puppets! These playful beings from the genius mind of our Artist, DefoQ will have a total supply of 4200 4k 3D NFT’s. Mint cost will be 0.1 ETH ($111 at time of writing). Each Baked Potato you hold will count as one Allowlist spot for the mint. Piffle Puppets will be an integral main character in the Baked Universe Comic Series and be featured in future merchandise.
Why Ethereum when Baked Potatoes are on BNB? Because we are nerds who love Marvel and love a challenge. To really build our Lore the way we envision it, why not collect the best people from multiple chains? We aren’t here to make a gimmicky product, we’re trying to be movers, shakers, and innovators. Stories are like food, the best bonding moments were done over a good meal and a better story by the fire. There we can share what we love about BNB Chain with newcomers, and learn together what Ethereum has to offer our Baked Universe.
Looking into the Future:
We have always maintained to underpromise and overdeliver. That may mean that there will be times we can’t say what’s coming next, simply because it’s not a for sure yet. We know we get excited about any possibility that comes into play, and while we love to get you guys hyped as well, we don’t want baseless hype. However some things we can say are coming down the road with 99% certainty (world ending event being the 1%) are:
- Potato/Puppet Staking — Something not on any roadmap we’ve ever had, this one is for the community. Giving back while locking away some of the supply at the same time. Once Piffle Puppets are 100% Sold out, 10% of the mint Funds will be used for Holders who stake their Baked Potatoes. Exact details on length of time and reward will be announced down the road, however our easily attainable goal is to give back more than the 0.2 BNB mint of the Potatoes per Potato staked. Another 10% will be used for the Staking of Piffle Puppets.
- In the not so far future, holders in certain areas where Cannabis is legal will gain access to IRL Cannabis discounts. Many Web2 Cannabis Companies are looking to integrate NFT’s into their business model and we’ve made a few choices to start testing this market. Holders, keep your eyes peeled in the Discord!
- Baked Universe Website! With new characters coming into play we decided it was time once and for all to have a central website where you can view all your characters, mint new ones, and maybe even search our web-store… Custom design to fit our vibes, we are excited to share this one with you very soon.
- A Custom Platform we can use to Auction 1/1 pieces outside of the regular collections. These pieces are special and for the most avid collector. Down the line they may or may not pop up in the comic to wreak some havoc with a reward for the owners of the NFT used. We are currently using NFTrade for these pieces, however after noticing some flaws we have decided to just get our own platform to make the experience smoother for all.
There’s so many more idea’s however like we stated at the start, underpromise and overdeliver is a core mantra. Also it’s fun when we roll something out that’s not announced and seeing the communities reaction! Sometimes we have to remember to look up from our work, see what we’ve built so far, and shout it from the rooftops!
